Jean earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Associates Degree in paralegal studies and worked in the legal field for 3 years. After giving birth to her son, she started her own part time fitness business. Then she opened her first personal training in 1996 in Palm Harbor, called Maxx Fitness (named after her son).   After a year of training dozens of men and women, she realized that many of them were not reaching their physical fitness goals because of their poor diet and lack of proper nutrition.  Because of her desire to help her clients achieve optimal fitness and health, Jean began working with the Shaklee corporation, a nutrition company, founded by Dr. Forrest Shaklee in  known for its scientific research and clinical studies on their products.  After lifting weights for over 15 years,  Jean developed musculoskeletal imbalances which lead to poor posture and back pain.  Jean took her first Pilates class in 1998, and immediately realized that Pilates was the kind of exercise her body needed.  After taking a few Pilates classes, she embarked in her professional Pilates training and has been teaching Pilates ever since 2001.  Jean holds numerous fitness certifications in personal training and Pilates, and has completed many college level nutrition courses.

Jean began working as a personal trainer at her personal training studio, in clients homes and at local gyms in 1996.  Today, Jean's focus is teaching Pilates and personal training sessions at her studio and helping her clients improve their body awareness and coordination through the Pilates method of exercise, which is proven to prevent future injuries and reduce  or alleviate chronic pain.

Jean's mission is to empower people to transform their bodies and create healthier lives.  She accomplishes her mission through the teaching of Pilates exercise, Essentrics exercise, corrective exercise sessions,  and scientifically researched, nutrition programs.
